Synopsis

With his mesmerizing long hair, he stands against oppressive forces that sparks a youth rebellion that challenges toxic masculinity and a potent movement against the corrupt government.

Director
Giovanni Rustanto is a director who studied at Prague Film School and FIOFA, a branch of FAMU. His short film “Lily of the Valley” premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Urban World Film Festival.

Producer
Annisa Adjam is an Indonesian producer and the CEO of Sinema 5. Her recent short “Sawo Matang” is premiering at Toronto International Film Festival.

Fran Borgia is the founder of Akanga Film Asia and the Producer of “A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery”, “A Land Imagined”, “Yuni” and “Tiger Stripes”.

Theo Rumansara’s first fiction feature-length “Orpa” is the first film ever directed by a native Papuan won the Best Performance Awards in 2022 Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) and AICEF Prize in the 2023 Balinale Film Festival. It is set to travel across 12 film festivals.

Producer
Axel Hadiningrat, as the producer of “Orpa”, aims to proceed with an upcoming project alongside groundbreaking Papuan film director Theo Rumansara, in what will be their second feature film in collaboration together.

Giovanni Rahmadeva is a music and film producer, based in Indonesia. Now he is developing Devina Sofiyanti’s first feminist-horror feature “The Heirlooms”.

Hanna Humaira is an East-Javanese producer who was a media buyer for more than seven feature films available now on Netflix until working as producer in her feature length film debut “Arini by Love.inc” in 2022. She is currently producing several upcoming feature films and series in development under Bioskop Online, Indonesia’s Video On Demand service.

Ananth Subramaniam is a Malaysian filmmaker of Tamil descent. His work often delves into the complex layers of his ancestral identity and family within a multi-layered genre. Subramaniam has been selected to participate in several prestigious film programs.

Producer
Choo Mun Bel's filmmaking journey began in 2009 and founded Sixtymac Production in 2010 produced his first short film. His recent shorts “Liar Land” and “The House of Brick and Stone” gained recognition, with “Liar Land” receiving a Special Mention at Locarno Open Doors 2020.

Arden Rod Condez is a Filipino writer, producer, and director for TV, films, and ads. He is currently developing his second feature “The Silence and Stealth of a Hungry Cat”.

Producer
Stelle Laguda is a Filipino producer based in Makati, the Philippines. She is the managing director of KT House Productions and has several creative producing involvements in international co-productions projects.

Jo Andrew Torlao is a Filipino development worker and filmmaker based in Iloilo City, the Philippines. He has worked with regional filmmakers and has produced and managed film productions since 2016.

Weed Season is a hybrid documentary, exploring cannabis scenes mainly in Thailand after its legalization in 2022. The film explores the process of growing, the science of consuming and the Thai politics that concern cannabis during the 2023 election.

Director
Sorayos Prapapan is an independent filmmaker. He has directed several short films which have been screened at many international film festivals. His first feature film “Arnold is a Model Student” was selected for the 2022 Locarno Film Festival.

Producer
Nuttawat Attasawat is an independent filmmaker. He was involved in many Thai independent projects such as “Krabi 2562” and “By the Time It Get Dark”. Beside working in the film and video industry, Nuttawat is also part of the Cannabis Association in Thailand.

In the unlucky year of the High village, all yin and yang pigs die during a drought. Pheo, a local from the Low village, finds a way to turn his lover, an ordinary pig, into a yin and yang one to be sacrificed for the Pig Slaughtering Festival in order to be initiated into the High village.

Nguyen Thi Xuan Trang joined the Kyoto Filmmaker Lab and since then has started producing some independent short film, documentary and feature projects. Trang has also broadened her horizons and joined the international community of filmmakers and producers.

Producer
Ivy Yu-hua Shen is a Taiwanese producer with experiences in film production, distribution, international sales and acquisition. Her producing feature “Two Friends” was selected in the BFI London Film Festival, the Goteborg Film Festival, the Zlin Film Festival, etc.
