The Bangkok ASEAN Film Festival 2022 came to a brilliant conclusion as the Ministry of Cultured handed out awards for Southeast Asian films and film projects, while programs of cultural exchange and promotion of Thailand as regional film hub were hailed as success.

The Ministry of Culture promotes Bangkok as the hub of Southeast Asia’s Film industry with the 7th edition of BANGKOK ASEAN FILM FESTIVAL, a showcase of top-quality regional films plus titles from China, India, Japan and South Korea. Free admission to the public from December 8 to 13, 2021.

December 2 – Bangkok: Thailand’s Culture Minister Itthiphol Khunpluem hosts a press conference announcing BANGKOK ASEAN FILM FESTIVAL 2021. He is joined by deputy permanent secretary Prasop Riang-ngern, the festival’s programming director Pimpaka Towira, and Purin Pictures’ Aditya Assarat.

August 27, 2020, Bangkok: Minister of Culture Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem chairs a press conference to announce the 6th Bangkok ASEAN Film Festival (2020), joined by Mr. Kitsayapong Siri, Permanent Secretary for Culture. Present at the press gathering are also executives of the ministry, the National Film and Video Committee, the National Federation of Thai Film Associations, as well as film-related government and private agencies on August 27, at Hall 1 of Wattanathamwisit Building, Ministry of Culture.

Celebrating ASEAN Cultural Year 2019 and promoting Bangkok as the hub of cinema in ASEAN The Ministry of Culture gave out three awards to films in ASEAN Competition as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award to a veteran filmmaker
